The “Game”
I received Fun with Ragdolls in a mystery box on Fanatical. If I had paid for the game by itself, I would have gotten a refund right away. Fun with Ragdolls is weird because it has game elements but no game.
The tutorial started well enough and had a lot of promise. The voice acting was on point, and the dialogue was funny.
Fun with Ragdolls falls apart the moment the tutorial ends. You’re presented with the menu where you’re given a few options to choose from: This game does not have a story mode, but you can download levels. In Fun with Ragdolls, one of the main things you can do is build, and sadly the game revolves around the building aspect.
Because of the lack of gameplay features and overall lack of content, I can only give Fun with Ragdolls a 3/10.
Fun with AI
Fun with Ragdolls does feature some exciting systems baked into the game. The ragdolls can be customized with AI: An element that I think is one of the coolest parts of the game. However, Fun with Ragdolls is currently $14.99 on Steam, and I do not believe there is enough content to warrant the price tag.
Update 2.0
Fun with Ragdolls is going to be receiving a big update! The update features things like:
- Build Mode Updates
- Adjust the size of any item.
- Items have adjustable properties.
- And more!
- Player Features
- Crouching.
- Adjustable run speed.
- And more!
- Ragdoll Features
- Seeker Ragdoll.
- Voice lines.
- New skins and skin colors.
Update 2.0 also features new items!
Does Fun with Ragdolls Need a Story Mode?
No. Fun with Ragdolls does not need a story mode, although a short one would be awesome just for the voice acting. The game needs better multiplayer and more options to choose from. The game’s foundation is solid, and making your own fun can be exciting, but Fun with Ragdolls leaves much to be desired.
I believe in Fun with Ragdolls
I believe Fun with Ragdolls could be big despite my harsh but honest score. The AI component of the game feels refreshing and is honestly fun to play with. Game development takes a long time, and that is understandable. However, Fun with Ragdolls needs new features to grow into what it could truly be.
