Diorama Builder Mini Review: It’s Alright

Diorama Builder is not a bad game! It is pretty fun if you’re in the mood to put together a puzzle. Diorama Builder is available for $2.99 on Steam, a fair price for an average pizzle game. Before diving into Diorama Builder, players should know that it is not a create your own Diorama game. You’ll have to put pieces in their proper location to advance.

Gameplay Loop

Diorama Builder is a relaxing game; as you put together your chosen puzzle, the game plays music that fits the theme of the puzzle you’re building. I spent most of my time building a pyramid, so Egyptian music was playing in the background.

You’re free to choose what model you want to build, and despite being in early access, Diorama Builder has some good options to choose from. I started with a war scene and moved on to a pyramid. I was not able to finish the diorama because the game became slow to me. However, if you like slow games, this one is definitely for you.

That’s a Wrap

Diorama Builder is a niche game; if you know what you want out of a building game that also functions as a puzzle game, you’ll probably like this. There is no room for creative freedom. You have to follow the puzzle. However, you can change the color of some of the pieces.

Diorama Builder is a 3/10 for me. However, I recognize I am not the target audience.
